Senior Recital
You are invited to the senior recital of Luke Thompson!
Friday, June 6, 2025
4:00pm
Mt. Ivy Christian Church
5120 Scruggs Road, Moneta, VA 24121
The entire studio is invited to Luke’s senior recital! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to see how far they can go when they stick with something, and it gives students a goal to reach for. The program will feature duets, a saxophone, and of course, piano! Please attend if you are able.

Luke Thompson is a senior at Patrick Henry High School. He has played the piano for 2 years and the saxophone for 9 years. He was Woodwind Captain in the Marching Band and founded the PH “Patriots” Saxophone Quartet. He also participated in the Roanoke Valley Governors School, along with being a member of the jazz band and wind symphony. Luke regularly performs in recitals and competitions. He will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall for computer engineering and will be auditioning with the saxophone for the Marching Virginians and the wind ensemble. In his free time, Luke enjoys programming, video games, reading, and hiking.
Summer is Here!
Many parents ask, “How do the summers work at the studio?”
Answer – They work great! We are open year-round, so your lesson spot/preference will be locked in as long as you are actively enrolled.
Our lessons run year-round, and your lesson time is top priority for as long as you are actively enrolled.
Please note, if you withdraw from lessons/take a break for the summer, we cannot hold your lesson time for you.
The summers are always busy for the studio (we tend to grow by 10%), with many students starting up lessons in the summer and continuing to stay enrolled through the fall, winter, spring, etc. Many of the students who withdraw for the summer, with plans to return for the fall, have found that their times are taken, and need to be placed on a waiting list.
DON’T GET STUCK ON A WAITING LIST!
Check out the options below to keep your lesson time:
1. Group Makeup Classes

On Fridays, we offer a rotation of various group makeup classes for the different lessons and age groups. PLUS, our makeups NEVER expire, so you can take however long you need to sign up for as many makeups that you need – you can even make up lessons before you miss!
